Day 1: Arusha / Moshi β Momella Gate β Miriakamba Hut
Elevation: 1,500m to 2,514m

After breakfast, transfer to Momella Gate in Arusha National Park for registration and briefing. Meet your mountain guide and armed ranger before starting your trek.
The trail passes through open grasslands and lush rainforest where you may encounter giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, warthogs, baboons, and black-and-white colobus monkeys. Continue through scenic forest sections including the famous Fig Tree Arch before reaching Miriakamba Hut.
Enjoy dinner and your first overnight stay on the mountain.

Day 2: Miriakamba Hut β Saddle Hut β Little Meru
Elevation: 2,514m to 3,570m

Habitat: Forest & Heath
Following breakfast, begin a steep ascent through montane forest and giant heather vegetation. As you gain altitude, enjoy magnificent views of the Meru Crater and Ash Cone.
Arrive at Saddle Hut around midday for lunch. In the afternoon, take an acclimatization hike to Little Meru (3,820m), offering spectacular sunset views and an excellent preparation for summit day.
Return to Saddle Hut for dinner and an early night’s rest.

Elevation: 3,570m to 4,566m then descend to 1,500m

Your summit day begins shortly after midnight. Trek steadily to Rhino Point (3,800m) and Cobra Point (4,350m) before continuing along the dramatic crater ridge.
Reach Socialist Peak (4,566m) at sunrise and enjoy breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the Meru Crater, Ash Cone, and the Great Rift Valley.
After celebrating your achievement and taking photographs, descend back to Saddle Hut for brunch before continuing to Momella Gate. Meet your driver and transfer back to Arusha or Moshi.
