Day 1: Moshi – Umbwe Gate – Umbwe Camp

After breakfast, drive from Moshi to Umbwe Gate for registration and trek briefing. Begin your climb through dense tropical rainforest on a steep and narrow trail. The route climbs continuously through giant trees, vines, and moss-covered forest before reaching Umbwe Camp.
The first day is physically demanding but offers excellent opportunities to experience Kilimanjaro’s pristine rainforest ecosystem.

Day 2: Umbwe Camp – Barranco Camp

Today’s climb is relatively short but important as you ascend to Barafu Camp, the final base camp before the summit attempt.
Upon arrival, enjoy lunch, rest, and attend a summit briefing from your guides. An early dinner is served before retiring to your tent for a few hours of sleep.

Day 5: Barafu Camp – Uhuru Peak – Mweka Gate – Moshi
Elevation: 4,640m to 5,895m then descend to 1,640m

Shortly after midnight, begin your summit attempt. Ascend slowly through the darkness toward Stella Point (5,756m) before continuing along the crater rim to Uhuru Peak (5,895m).
After celebrating your achievement and taking summit photographs, begin the long descent through Barafu Camp and Mweka Camp before continuing to Mweka Gate, where you will receive your official summit certificate.
Transfer back to Moshi for overnight accommodation or onward travel.
